Information about our different honeys
HerbsHero Honey Hero’s are naturally pure honeys with no additives. All quality homes will eventually crystallize. However, this does not detract from the quality. You can recognize crystallization by a white precipitate and the formation of crystals in the honey. Honey contains enzymes that support body processes that are temperature sensitive and break down due to heat. Therefore, never heat above 40 degrees and therefore never put the honey in too hot tea or milk.
For all types of honey;
- All quality homes will eventually crystallize, some a little faster than others. The honey forms crystals in a white layer. However, this does not detract from the quality.

Natural process
Unprocessed honey may crystallize after a while. This crystallization is a completely natural process.
The bees collect nectar on different flowers, add enzymes to it and vaporize the nectar. Thus, it is stored as “honey” in the cells and sealed with a layer of wax to prevent spoilage. Honey consists of a large number of valuable substances such as enzymes, organic acids, minerals, bacterial inhibitors, vitamins, (to a lesser extent) hormones, pollen grains and aromatic substances. The latter substances, together with acids, give honey its characteristic aroma and taste. Honey is thus a valuable mixture of many natural substances. Depending on the plant from which the nectar was extracted, you can distinguish different types of honey. Each has its own taste, smell, color and consistency. All honey has a very beneficial effect on the liver and the removal of toxins from the body.
